The Adirondack Trust Company, a cornerstone of the Saratoga Springs economy, had outgrown its grand building on Broadway. The company needed a corporate office to house insurance and mortgage operations, and obtained land adjoining a newly-built parking garage on Church Street.
Like many of the new buildings in Saratoga, the Adirondack Trust Building was designed with architectural features that align with the historical roots of the city. BHI self-performed intricate Flemish basket weave brick work on the building’s exterior.
The five-story office building, which also has ground floor retail space, was built on an accelerated schedule to avoid the busy Saratoga Thoroughbred racetrack season.
