In addition to three other Hannaford supermarkets constructed in Pinebush, Kingsbury, and Latham Farms, BHI constructed this 46,000 square foot structural steel, pre-cast paneled supermarket in Kinderhook. A hybrid of three prototype stores designed by Hannaford, this mid-sized building’s square footage fell between the models usually constructed for the largest 60,000 square foot sized store. Multiple shifts worked days and nights to successfully meet the tight schedule of the store’s firm opening date. BHI self-performed masonry, carpentry, concrete slab work, foundation and walls, and installed the EPDM roofing on this pad-ready site.
